The Nebraska Truck Driving Championships are held at Fonner Park in Grand Island, NE, featuring the best professional truck drivers in the state. Competitors will test their knowledge, talent, and skills, focusing on what it takes to be a safe driver on our streets and highways.

The Championships are a statewide competition for professional truck drivers with accident-free driving records.

Four Nebraska Truck Driving Championships stages:

1. Written test covering safety regulations and trucking industry facts
2. Vehicle inspection where drivers identify defects
3. Interview with a law enforcement office
4. Driving skills test by class

Truck Classes

• Straight truck with class A, B, or C license
• Three-, four- & five-axle sleeper berth and five-axle flatbed driver with a class A license
• Five-axle tank driver with a class A license and N or X endorsements
• Twin trailers driver with a class A license with T endorsement
• Step van driver can be a CDL or non-CDL license
• Concrete mixer driver with a class B license

Winners in each class advance to the ATA's National Truck Driving Championships. NTA member companies sponsor their drivers and owner/operators to attend the two-day contest.
