NEBRASKA COMPETITION

Welcome to the 2021 Nebraska Trucking Association Driver Challenge 2021 to be held as a virtual competition.

The top 10 driver competitors in Nebraska will be eligible for the ATA national competition and a chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes. While we are NOT doing an in-person event with a driving challenge this year, we hope our drivers participate to keep their driving knowledge skills sharp. This event showcases the state’s finest drivers and the world-class companies these drivers represent. To register drivers, your company must be a member of the Nebraska Trucking Association. The top 10 competitors may advance to American Trucking Associations’ Championships.

All paperwork and fees must be received by the Nebraska Trucking Association at 1701 K St, Lincoln, NE 68508 NO LATER THAN 7-15-2021 or driver(s) will not be eligible to compete. NTA looks forward to a great truck driving championship in 2022.

To be eligible, employee drivers and permanent-lease owner-operators must:

1. Complete this form
2. Email each driver’s current MVR (dated after 3-1-21) and CDL to atilden@nebtrucking.com
3. $35 per driver fee
4. Driver must be accident-free, regardless of fault, and be continuously employed by the same motor carrier since 8-23-2020
5. Driver must compete in the state his or her CDL and/or driver’s license was issued in, or the state in which his or her company has corporate domicile. If the driver's CDL and/or driver’s licenses are issued in a different state than their corporate domicile, they must choose only one state to compete in. A driver cannot compete in multiple competitions.

Once NTA receives all necessary forms and fees:

You will receive a Facts for Drivers book for each driver. Questions for the virtual driver challenge will be taken from this book. You will receive further instructions and passwords necessary to participate in virtual practice and the competition. This competition will be using the online Kahoot! Platform available on phone and desktop.

• 7-15-21 - Last day to register for Nebraska
• 7-31-21 - Nebraska State Competition 
• 8-11-21 to 8-13-21 - ATA Prize Rounds
• 8-14-21 - ATA Grand Championships
